How to remove collections without paying

Review your credit reports for negative information that’s inaccurate. Initiate a dispute of inaccuracies or errors online with the credit bureau reporting the information. In those scenarios you may consider a tactic known as “pay for delete,” in which you pay to have negative information removed from your credit report.

Before you try anything else, you should first make sure the negative entry on your credit report doesn’t have any inaccuracies. Studies have shown that most people’s credit reports contain errors.

You have to approach accurately reported negative information differently. Credit bureaus won’t remove accurate, verifiable information even if you dispute it , creditrepair so you may have to negotiate to have some items removed from your credit report. Negative details on your credit report are unfortunate glaring reminders of your past financial mistakes. Or, in some cases, the mistake isn’t yours, but a business or credit bureau is to blame for credit report errors. Either way, it’s up to you to work to have unfavorable credit report entries removed from your credit report.

Some people with fico® scores in the fair category may even have major negative events on their credit reports, such as foreclosures or bankruptcies—events that severely lower scores. Full recovery from these setbacks can take up to 10 years, but you can take steps now to get your score moving in the right direction. I have had about 15 things in collections and reporting under negative items on my credit reports.

Recently I had got an excellent job so I have called all the creditors and settled with them. Unfortunately months later when check my credit they still report under “negative items” and under “collections” but they have all been updated to paid. Is there anything I can do to remove these items from “negative” or remove them from my credit report in general? Please help I am have twins and am trying to get a mortgage so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
